Meraki Muskoka Studio offers creative collaboration & design consultation for custom work.
Meraki (may-rah-kee), a Greek term by definition means “to do something with love, passion and a lot of soul.”
The term epitomizes my philosophy about working in stained glass, specifically the traditional copper foil method.
Each piece includes a of part myself, I want my glasswork to reflect and showcase my talent and experience, but also be rich in connection, purpose and inspiration.
My wish is to have my glass work ignite creative discussion and show the beauty in light, transparency and colour.
While anyone can mass produce cookie cutter patterns, my preference and talent is best suited by designing and carefully selecting glass to create one-of-a-kind pieces inspired by landscapes, seasons, wildlife and life experiences.
My name is Meghan and I am a proud Canadian living and loving Muskoka. I enjoy exploring other areas of the country, downhilll skiing and kayaking with my husband Mark. We have two Labrador retrievers, a multi-breed mutt and a German Shepherd pup; all who keep us quite active. When I am not working in studio, you can find me in my garden, around the firepit, cooking in the kitchen and spending time with my family.
